About the Role
American Express is hiring an Analyst – Risk Management to join its Global Risk & Compliance team. In this role, you will leverage data analytics to identify and manage risk, generate business insights, and support strategic decision-making. You'll work with large datasets, advanced analytics, SQL, Python, and machine learning techniques to help strengthen risk management across the organization while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements & Technical Skills
- ✓Postgraduate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- ✓0-2 years of experience in Risk Management, Analytics, Consulting, or Data Science
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Knowledge of SQL and Python
- ✓Understanding of Machine Learning concepts is a plus
- ✓Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
- ✓Knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Tableau is an advantage
- ✓Excellent communication and presentation skills
- ✓Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights
- ✓Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills
