About the Role
Navi is looking for an SDE 1 Security Engineer to join its Engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you'll work on application security, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, security automation, and developer collaboration to build secure financial products used by millions of customers. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career security engineers passionate about cybersecurity and secure software development.
Requirements & Technical Skills
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- ✓0-2 years of experience in Application Security or Penetration Testing
- ✓Strong knowledge of Web and Mobile Application Security
- ✓Hands-on understanding of OWASP Top 10 (Web & Mobile)
- ✓Knowledge of vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL Injection, IDOR, SSRF, etc.
- ✓Strong programming skills in Python (Go, Ruby, or Bash is a plus)
- ✓Experience with REST APIs and API Security
- ✓Familiarity with Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Postman, Nmap or MobSF
- ✓Understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS and API architectures
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Excellent communication and teamwork skills
