About the Role
Cisco is hiring Software Engineers through its Code with Cisco program for entry-level engineering talent in India. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions while collaborating with global engineering teams. You'll work on cutting-edge technologies including networking, cloud, AI, automation, and security, contributing to products used by millions of customers worldwide.
Requirements & Technical Skills
- ✓2027 graduate only (Bachelor's/Master's degree in CS, IT, or related field)
- ✓Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python) with focus on performance
- ✓Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, OS concepts, and SDLC
- ✓Fundamentals of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and network debugging tools
- ✓Knowledge of security technologies (Firewall, IPS/IDS, VPN, IPsec, TLS) and threat vectors
- ✓Understanding of object-oriented design (OOP) and cloud scaling principles
- ✓Exposure to systems programming, OS kernels, device drivers, or BSPs is a plus
- ✓Hands-on experience with unit testing, secure coding practices, debugging, and troubleshooting tools
- ✓Familiarity with Git, version control, and Agile engineering practices
- ✓Creative problem-solving, analytical thinking, and strong team collaboration skills
