About the Role
Red Hat is looking for Software Engineering Interns to join its Engineering team in Pune or Bangalore. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced mentors to design, develop, and maintain software solutions while contributing to real-world projects. You'll collaborate with global engineering teams, gain hands-on experience with enterprise open-source technologies such as RHEL, OpenShift, Ansible, and AI, and build practical skills in Python, Golang, Java, GitHub, Agile, and JavaScript.
Requirements & Technical Skills
- ✓Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- ✓Basic knowledge of Software Engineering principles
- ✓Knowledge of Python, Golang, or similar programming languages
- ✓Strong understanding of programming fundamentals
- ✓Good written and spoken English communication skills
- ✓Passion for software development and open-source technologies
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
- ✓Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- ✓Basic knowledge of Git or GitHub
- ✓Familiarity with Agile development practices is a plus
- ✓Knowledge of Java or JavaScript is a plus
- ✓Interest in Linux, OpenShift, RHEL, Ansible, or AI technologies
- ✓Must be authorized to work without current or future visa sponsorship
